Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year, Raffle winners and RDA

We want to take this opportunity to wish you all the very best for Christmas and the New Year and to thank you for your support over the last year.

It is appropriate at this time of goodwill to announce that our final two charity fundraisers raised a fabulous total of –  £223.00!

The recent quiz raised £77.00 – Thank you Jake for all of your hard work and the raffle raised £146.00.  (Winners are listed below). All of this money will go directly to the Barrow branch of Riding for the Disabled (RDA), who have been our charity for the year, we wish them all the very best for the future.

We are still seeking nominations for a worthy local charity which we can fund raise for next year – small local charities only please.

So to the Raffle winners;-

            First Prize – A day at Adnams Distillery in Southwold to learn the process and make your own bottle of Gin (travel not included) kindly supported by Adnams – David (tel number ends 8402)

            Second Prize – A Bottle of Newmarket 350 Gin (kindly donated by Bedford Lodge) – David of Kirtling (who very kindly shared half of it around the regulars at the draw! – Thank you David)

               Third Prize – An item of furniture cleaned by Rothwells (Kindly donated by Rothwells of Kirtling)  – Jake and Laura

                 Forth prize – £25-00 Kirtling Red Lion meal voucher (yes, donated by us!) – Arnold – tel number ends 0680 or is it 0660?

                Fifth Prize – Bottle of wine – Nigel – Phone number ends 7755

                Sixth prize – bottle of wine – Eileen – phone ends 0508

                Seventh Prize – a wonderful candle set – Ryan of Kirtling

                 Eighth Prize – DVD – 'The Horse Whisperer' – JT of Afleck fame

                 Ninth Prize – Bedroom trinket Box – Steve – phone ends 6826.

If you are one of these lucky winners please come and collect your prize by the end of January or it will be added to the next charity draw. (Charity nominations still open!!!!)

We are still looking for kitchen staff – accommodation can be provided, please spread the word.
