The Parish Council is pleased to confirm that the new speed camera has now been installed as part of the wider road safety improvements within the village.

The camera supports the recently implemented changes to speed limits and buffer zones on the approaches to Kirtling, which were introduced to help reduce vehicle speeds and improve safety for residents, pedestrians, cyclists and other road users.

The Parish Council has worked closely with Cambridgeshire County Council and other stakeholders to progress these measures following concerns raised by residents regarding vehicle speeds through and around the village.

The installation of the speed camera marks another important step in encouraging compliance with the speed limits and helping to make Kirtling’s roads safer for everyone.

We would like to thank residents for their support and patience throughout the consultation and implementation process. The Parish Council will continue to monitor the effectiveness of these measures and work with the relevant authorities on any future road safety initiatives.
