The British Horse Society are running a project to record legal rights of way (bridleways for example), and to preserve and reinstate routes so as to prevent unrecorded routes being formally closed in 2026. They are currently looking to recruit Historical Research Volunteers in the Eastern Region so if you are interested, please check out their website that explains more about their project:
